Trouble in Paradise

Since Cleve Hunnicutt gave over space in the feed and garden store to house the post office until the repairs are done, his wife Charlotte's antique business has been squeezed into a corner.  So she is renting a store of her own on Poplar Street.  She's still deciding on a name for it.  Cleve said she should call it "Charlotte's dusty old junk."  Cleve will be staying at his brother's house for a few days.
We received a nice note yesterday afternoon from Floyd's sister Patty in Tampa.  There might be some trouble brewing in their household.  She said that her husband Deke bought a new set of golf clubs and is giving them the kind of loving attention she hasn't seen toward her in years.
Yesterday was the Once-A-Week Club's monthly meeting.  We were supposed to see a film on the power of independent women, but we couldn't find one of the husbands to set up the projector.  It was a nice afternoon though.
And that's what's happening in Hoake's Mill.
Love,
Caroline
