Our phone service was interrupted for several hours today when a road crew accidentally cut a line. Leyland Wilson said he was unaware that there was a problem and that the service didn't seem any worse than usual.
I saw Charlotte Hunnicutt at the Morning Club's meeting yesterday afternoon. Her antiques business isn't keeping her as busy as she thought it would, so she plans to take a ceramics class at Plantsburg Agriculture and Vocational College. Cleve says that she doesn't need a class to learn to throw a vase and he has the scars to prove it.
My sister Elaine's granddaughter has left for a week to visit her aunt and uncle in Philadelphia. She took her pet pig with her. It's expecting a litter any day now. I'm sure it won't be in the way.
And that's what's happening in Hoake's Mill.
Love,
Caroline
