Shooting accident!

The archery range up to the Jumping Branch Lake Sportsmen's Club opened for the season Saturday.  Everything went well until a bee stung Police Chief Wilkins just as he was releasing his arrow.  He claims it was a complete accident that the errant arrow found Fire Chief Pace's backside.
My grandsons Brian and Ryan's new little country rock band was booked to play as the weekly live entertainment at the Main Street Cafe on Poplar Street Friday night.  It was meat loaf night so there was a good turnout, but there seemed to be an unusual number of people getting their dinners to go.
I got a lovely letter today from my cousin Emily.  She recently moved to Atlanta and is busy getting settled and meeting new people.  She said she hasn't met any single men who seem promising.  Her new insurance agent is too old, her new dentist is too young, and her new hairdresser asked a lot of questions about her brother.
And that's what's happening in Hoake's Mill.
Love,
Caroline
