And a lovely weekend it was

Pastor Bramlett and his wife hosted their annual thank you party for the members of the choir and the Sunday School teachers after church yesterday.  Their home was beautifully decorated with balloons, ribbons and the flowers left from Earl Sanders funeral.
It's a tradition at Hoake's Mill High School to have the valedictorian from 25 years earlier give the commencement address.  We aren't sure who will be doing the honors at next week's ceremonies.  The valedictorian of 1986 suddenly left town this weekend after a discrepancy was discovered in the beer fund at the V.F.W. Club.
The Morning Club has its regular meeting this afternoon.  We decided to plan a day trip to the Plantsburg Agriculture and Vocational College's horticulture department's plant fair.  My dear friend Darlene Rodgers said she's not going.  The last time she was there she was chased by a runaway pullet from the poultry science department and still hasn't recovered from the experience.
And that's what's happening in Hoake's Mill.
Love,
Caroline
